As a seven-year old kid, shortly after finding a cassette tape of Toto, I was pretty sure I wanted to be a musician. After high school I studied jazz & pop drums at the ArtEZ Conservatory in Zwolle, and a master in Jazz drums at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, where I graduated in 2014.
Currently, I’m playing and recording with bands and artist, working from my studio in Utrecht and teaching drums and music production at Het Klooster in Woerden.
Musically, I’m doing quite a lot of different things. There’s a wide range of styles I love to play, both as a sideman or soloist, mostly balancing anywhere in between the Dutch pop and jazz scene, enjoying the challenge and excitement of adapting to the various situations I encounter.
Besides all this, there’s always KRUIDKOEK, the ideal musical outlet of four friends whose wild fantasies totally gotten out of control making music called GarageJazz.
